Dia de los Muertos Celebration Set for Nov. 2

The Day of the Dead celebration honors deceased loves ones of students, faculty and staff.
Community members are invited Thursday, Nov. 2, to attend 草莓社区鈥檚 presentation of Dia de los Muertos, a traditional celebration that honors and welcomes back the spirits of deceased loved ones.
Visitors can view decorative altar displays, which include photographs to remember children and adults, their favorite foods, candles, crosses and more.
草莓社区 from the WNC鈥檚 Latino Leadership Academy, the Associated 草莓社区 of Western Nevada (ASWN) and Wildcat Life will present the eighth annual Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) Celebration in the Dini Student Center on the Carson City campus. Sugar skull face painting, games and more are set for noon to 3 p.m.
